A number of outstanding opportunities have arisen for contract positions at our Inchinnan facility. We are looking for multiple Skilled CNC Machinists to join on a 12-month contract. Please note this role will be on a rotating shift pattern (mornings, afternoons, and nights).

As a Skilled Machinist, your accountabilities would include:

  • Being a multi-skilled engineer with the ability to use a range of machine tools to manufacture high-quality aerospace components.
  • Critiquing your own work by undertaking both visual and dimensional inspections of components.
  • Loading and unloading various process equipment.
  • Feeding back information to the Manufacturing Engineer and team.
  • Maintaining excellent quality standards and being an integral part of the manufacturing process.
  • Working within strict HS&E guidelines to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Working as part of a team to deliver customer needs in a high-volume, target-driven environment while following defined processes and procedures.

Qualifications & Experience required of a CNC Machinist:

  • Completed a recognised time-served apprenticeship including City and Guilds, NVQ Level 3/SVQ Level 3 or equivalent in an engineering discipline (original trade papers must be available for review at interview).
  • Ability to work a multi-shift pattern including nights (payment included in salary offering).
  • Experience of working in a manufacturing environment, in an operator role within a volume manufacturing environment, with the ability to safely achieve performance targets.
  • Experience of working with Nickel, Steel, and Titanium Alloys would be beneficial.
  • An up-to-date working knowledge of health, safety (including COSHH), and environmental procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret design drawings is desirable.
  • A basic IT knowledge is essential.
