Were looking for an Emerging Talent & Development Lead to join our team on a 6-month contract. This role is based in Derby and is a hybrid working model.

Job Description - The Role

The Emerging Talent & Development Lead is responsible for the design of our High Potential and Career Changer programmes.

Youll be partnering with Business and Head Office leaders to ensure fit for purpose programmes focusing on all aspects of the life cycle including programme design, consistency of experience (candidate and business) improvements, efficiencies, and benchmarking.

As an Emerging Talent & Development Lead you will be :

  • A subject matter expert for our global talent programmes including high potential programmes, MBA/PhD pipelines, career changer programmes and leadership development
  • Responsible for the design and redesign of RR talent programmes, understanding future skills and business requirement
  • Own the end to end frameworks for our high potential programmes including selection, induction, programme design / experience and reporting
  • Work closely with the emerging talent operational teams to manage individuals as they progress through our high potential or leadership programmes ensuring strong learner experience
  • Define and sign off the key performance indicators, success measures and deliverables for responsible programmes
  • Ensure alignment of talent programmes to Rolls-Royce key skill priorities and leadership capabilities
  • Run programme design board including feedback, learner voice documentation and governance
  • Analyse and measure the effectiveness of emerging talents programmes, implementing data-driven improvements to optimise outcomes
  • Design key policies, toolkits and other documentation relating to talents programmes and their implementation/ embedding
  • Own our talent programme communities, managing communications, expectations and key messages
  • Drive efficiencies through our processes ensuring best in class experience and strong ROI
  • Strong external partnerships to benchmark our high potential programmes, keeping up to date with industry trends and key thought-leadership topics
  • Work with external suppliers, training providers and our wider talent team to embed learning interventions including professional qualifications, simulations and digital learning experiences
  • Knowledge of wider emerging talent (graduates, apprentices, work experience) to support other programme design activities where needed

What we require from the candidate:

  • Strong understanding of high-performance talent delivery, frameworks, processes & policies
  • Analytical mindset, strong project delivery experience and ability to manage change programmes
  • Confident working at pace to deliver global programmes and priorities working closely with senior stakeholders
  • Shown success in delivering successful end to end talents journeys
  • Proven capability in stakeholder management at all levels of the organisation.
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and engage with a range of different stakeholders
  • Ability to build rapport quickly and develop and maintain strong partnerships
  • Extensive matrix-working experience; ability to partner internally & with 3rd parties to enable operational delivery against strategy
  • Understanding of employment laws, regulations, and diversity/inclusion best practices.
  • A passion for emerging talent, skills and learning
