On behalf of Rolls-Royce who develop cutting-edge technologies that deliver clean, safe and competitive solutions to meet the planet's vital power needs we are looking for a number of Component Design Engineers across both Derby and Bristol. Due to a significant increase in demand across our business, we're expanding our team with multiple opportunities available. These roles have been created to support a number of exciting change and transformation initiatives, while also aligning our resources to meet current and future business needs Purpose of the role: Deliver design solutions for components and complex assemblies, ensuring safety, quality, manufacturability, and product robustness. Produce and maintain engineering definitions, models, and technical documentation. Work closely with manufacturing, analysis, project, and customer teams to deliver engineering solutions. Support product lifecycle activities, including design updates, verification, validation, and in-service investigations. Evaluate operational performance and reliability data to drive product improvements. Support technology development programmes and continuous improvement initiatives. Develop and maintain engineering methods, standards, tools, and best practice guidance. Capture and apply lessons learned throughout the design lifecycle. As a Component Design Engineer you will: Experience as a Design Engineer within a highly regulated industry such as Aerospace, Defence, Nuclear, Automotive, or Energy. Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and methodologies. Experience designing components, assemblies, or systems within a complex engineering environment. Knowledge of manufacturing processes and Design for Manufacture (DfM) principles. Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
