Rolls-Royce is a respected engineering organisation operating in many sectors including energy, aerospace, marine and defence. Rolls-Royce pioneers cutting-edge technologies that deliver clean, safe & competitive solutions to meet our planet's vital power needs. Due to a number of exciting change and transformational activities across the Rolls-Royce business we are now seeking to add a number of Thermofluids Engineers. The Thermofluids Engineers will be based in Bristol or Derby.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Defining system, sub-system and component requirements for thermofluidic, temperature and thermo-mechanical analysis.
  • Developing and evaluating concepts using analytical methods to support system-level design trades and architecture selection.
  • Performing modelling, simulation and verification at component and system level across the product lifecycle.
  • Planning and conducting validation activities including test specification, model calibration and uncertainty quantification.

To be successful in this role you will need to:

  • Hold a Bachelor's degree or higher (or regional equivalent) in Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Apply logical, analytical and innovative thinking to solve complex engineering problems.
  • Demonstrate proactive ownership, high self-motivation, and strong customer focus.
  • Communicate effectively and collaborate confidently with peers and technical leaders.
  • Ideally have experience in thermal, mechanical, or fluid systems, and be working toward Chartered status with a relevant professional body.
