Our Contingent Workforce Solution (CWS) is one of our service offerings; we act as an extension of Rolls-Royces recruitment team and provide professional interim and temporary resources.
We are looking for a number of Chemical Process Operators for a 12-Month contract based in Solihull on behalf of Rolls-Royce who develop cutting-edge technologies that deliver clean, safe and competitive solutions to meet the planets vital power needs.
As a Chemical Process Operator, you will be:
- Using manual electroplating techniques such as Lead Indium and nickel to electroplate bearings
- Operating manual electroplating and or anodising lines, jigging components, cleaning parts and measuring coating thicknesses.
- Inputting data into chart recorders
- Coating of high integrity components of varying sizes to tight engineering tolerances.
- Use of manual grit blasting equipment to prepare parts for coating
- Making chemical additions to process tanks and completing TPM.
- Work within a Team to effectively resolve production and quality issues.
- Interpretation of manufacturing drawings, customer drawings and written specifications.
- The flexibility to undertake other tasks/activities when required.
- A willingness to learn new skills and processes, undertaking training where necessary.
- Experience of NADCAP or Aerospace accreditations desirable
- Awareness of HS&E requirements.
What we require from a Chemical Process Operator:
Essential:
- Experience in a chemical processing or coating of precision components environment
- Understand and interpret technical drawings and work instructions.
- Capable of managing time/resource effectively.
- A flexible-working attitude to taking on other tasks/activities when required.
- Good communication skills.
Desirable:
- Experience of working in Electroplating or Anodising
- Experience of working in the coatings industry, and or Aerospace or Automotive industry standards.
- Experience of working to technical work instructions.
- 5s and visual management.
- Experience of working with chemicals.
