We are looking for a number of Skilled Welders for a 12-month contract based in Inchinnan on behalf of Rolls-Royce who develop cutting-edge technologies that deliver clean, safe and competitive solutions to meet the planet's vital power needs.

Please note that these roles are going to be on a rotating shift pattern that will include mornings, afternoons and nights.

What you'll do:

  • Maintaining our excellent quality standards, being an integral part of our manufacturing process.
  • Welding of Nickel, Steel and Alloys using various processes including TIG welding in accordance with defined specifications and procedures, as detailed within the Manufacturing Instructions and Data Cards.
  • The role will require you to work to tight tolerances, experience of this will need to be demonstrated at interview.
  • Work within strict HS&E guidelines, maintaining a clean and safe environment.
  • We work within a cutting-edge manufacturing facility, so a basic IT knowledge is essential.

The skills you'll need:

  • Completed a recognised time-served apprenticeship including City and Guilds, NVQ3 or equivalent in an engineering discipline. (Original trade papers must be available for review at interview).
  • Experience of Welding to Aerospace standards.
  • Experience in working with Nickels/Steels and Alloys.
  • Ability to read and interpret design drawings (considered an asset).
  • Professional and flexible attitude, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively at all levels.
  • Able to work a multi-shift pattern including nights.
  • Be self-motivated, with the ability to work on your own initiative or as part of a team.
  • Understand how to maintain a clean and safe environment in the workplace and how to work to set deadlines to achieve performance targets.
  • An up-to-date working knowledge of health, safety (including COSHH) and environmental procedures.
