System Cost Engineer

Full Time

Derby/Hybrid

An exciting opportunity has become available for a System Cost Engineer in Derby. You will be part of a global team and provide tactical and strategic cost support to design, manufacturing, procurement and engine services.

This team is part of the newly formed Manufacturing Engineering and Materials Group within ET&S and, as a key part, of this broader, high performing team, we are responsible for generating value for the aerospace division through the identification, evaluation and support of product cost avoidance & reduction programmes and projects across all stages of the product life cycle.

What you will be doing:

In this exciting role as a System Cost Engineer, you will understand, report, challenge and influence product cost within future programmes, new product introduction and service stage:
Support design-to-cost activities on component, sub-system and system levelInfluence integrated commodity strategies and house-stylesProvide product cost insight and cost levers to Engineering and ProcurementPerform cost benchmarksCreate scaled price estimates and bottom-up activity based costingsFacilitate or support cross-functional cost reduction workshops
