An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Rigs Management Engineer to join the T&EE Defence Rigs team, which is based in Bristol, with a prime focus on our experimental test rigs. The Bristol Rigs Test team is expected define, support and execute rig testing for a variety of customers including OE Production, MRO and existing / new Development programs within the Defence / Civil Aerospace Sector.

The Defence Rigs team define, support, and execute experimental rigs testing covering Development & Legacy programmes on behalf of the Defence Division. There is now the opportunity to join this exciting world class team in preparation for our future programmes which will provide successful applicants with opportunities to expand their knowledge across all areas of gas turbine operation and development testing.

Primary accountabilities for Rig Management Engineer:
Manage Design & Make of rig demonstrators through integration of technical requirements including estimation, planning & management of cost & schedule.
Management of Integrated Project Team (both internal & external resources) including Risk & mitigation management
Proposal, management, and integration of supply chains including: Documentation and communication of technical issues, test and inspection results, managing of technical audits and project reviews & Customer & stakeholder management.
Support development of new tools, testing techniques and procedures to increase the effectiveness of the Rig Management Engineer role and the wider organisation.
Key Experiences and any Qualifications
Candidate qualifications will be a mix of HNC, HND and degree level and this will be reflected in the starting grade.
Ideally, knowledge of gas turbines, engineering standards and processes.
Project Management experience in planning, controlling budgets and driving to schedules including strong Communication Skills with the ability to prioritise
Strong customer facing interpersonal skills with the ability to lead integrated teams
