We are currently seeking applications for a highly motivated director of sport to lead and develop our school’s sports programme. This is a key leadership role responsible for fostering a culture of participation, excellence and sportsmanship across all year levels. Sports continues to grow at Rolleston College, with a focus on “participation” and “competition”. The sports department is focused on enhancing the Rolleston College spirit through school sport by providing opportunities & positive memories while keeping focus on the following key areas to a successful sports programme:

Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and execute strategic leadership for all aspects of the school’s sports programme
- Day to day management of department, coordinators and teachers in charge of sport
- Ensure strategic and school values and E Tu Tangata values in all sports operations/systems
- Organise and oversee interschool competitions, tournaments and events
- Develop management support systems for coaches, staff and volunteers
- Promote student participation in a wide range of sports and physical activities
- Develop pathways for students to achieve excellence programs
- Oversee sports budgets, resources and facilities systems
- Ensure health, safety and wellbeing standards are upheld in all sporting activities
- Build strong relationships with local clubs, organisations and governing bodies

This is a full‑time permanent position. This comes with the provision of Two Management Units (UP02).
