A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Conveyancer to join our successful team based primarily in our Daventry office.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for all residential property work for our Daventry office, dealing with all aspects of the conveyancing transaction from instruction through to completion.
Key Responsibilities
You must be able to
- Manage your own caseload whilst managing client expectation and meeting deadlines.
- Provide clients with relevant legal advice.
- Draft legal documents including but not limited to contracts, Transfer Deeds, Declarations of Trust, replies to enquiries, and Statutory Declarations.
- Deal with enquiries and respond in an appropriate manner and timeframe.
- Be alert to potential risks and resolve or raise as appropriate.
- Awareness of AML procedures relating to property transactions as well as understanding of PEPs and sanctions when identifying a client.
- Bill correctly for the work undertaken.
- Maintain a culture of teamwork and high performance with a strong focus on customer care.
- Motivated to develop relationships in the local community and build more business opportunities.
Person Specification
You must have
- At least 5+ years’ experience managing your own residential caseload from start to finish.
- Have experience in all types of residential conveyancing transactions including: sale, purchase, transfer of equity, remortgage, new builds, and equity release.
- Fully proficient in both freehold and leasehold transactions.
- Keep up to date with business and industry news.
- The ability to work effectively under pressure and to strict deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Be flexible and empathetic to deliver client needs.
- The confidence to ask questions if in doubt.
It would be advantageous if you have
- Experience with the Building Safety Act 2022
- Private medical care.
- Salary dependent on experience.
