A well-established and growing Insurance team is looking to hire an Associate 1+ PQE) in Bristol.
The role
This is an opportunity to be involved in a diverse mix of high-value and complex insurance and reinsurance work, including:
Professional indemnity disputes, with a particular emphasis on defending claims against financial services professionals, solicitors, insurance brokers and construction specialists
Financial lines matters, including W&I and cyber risk
Aviation-related claims and advisory work
Complex policy interpretation and coverage disputes
The team advises an impressive range of insurer and broker clients and is recognised for its collaborative culture and pragmatic, commercially focused advice. You’ll work closely with clients on key matters and will be supported in developing your own relationships and market presence over time.
About you
1+ PQE with experience gained at a City, insurance-focused, major regional or international firm
A strong background acting for insurers or other major participants in the insurance market
High-quality drafting skills and the ability to provide clear, practical and commercially sound advice
Comfortable in a client-facing role, with good judgement and strong interpersonal and organisational skills
Experience in professional indemnity, financial lines, cyber, transactional liability or aviation work is desirable, though candidates with broader or alternative coverage experience are also encouraged to apply
