Our client, a leading global law firm, is seeking an exceptional Associate or Senior Associate to join their highly regarded Competition team in London.
Position Overview
The successful candidate will play a key role in advising multinational and UK businesses on complex UK and EU competition law matters, coordinating transaction filing strategies across multiple jurisdictions, and representing clients before regulatory authorities.
Responsibilities
- Advise clients on UK and EU competition law matters
- Coordinate transaction filing strategies across multiple jurisdictions
- Represent clients before the Competition & Markets Authority and European Commission
- Guide clients through phase 1 and phase 2 merger control procedures
- Advise on foreign direct investment filings and national security matters
- Represent clients in antitrust investigations, market investigations, and sector enquiries
Requirements
- Qualified lawyer with experience in UK and EU competition law
- Strong technical skills and knowledge of competition law and merger control procedures
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills
- Ability to manage complex matters and coordinate across multiple jurisdictions
- Collaborative and proactive approach with a passion for finding creative solutions
