Our client, a successful legal and professional services group, is seeking an Associate in Property Disputes to join their team in their regional offices. The firm is known for its collaborative culture, commercial approach, and commitment to professional development.

Position Overview

You will work on a broad range of complex and high-quality property disputes, advising developers, investors, landlords, tenants, and public sector organisations. This role offers significant client exposure, responsibility, and the opportunity to manage your own caseload while receiving support from experienced colleagues.

Responsibilities

  • Advising clients on landlord and tenant disputes, including lease renewals, dilapidations, and forfeiture matters.
  • Managing development-related disputes involving rights of light, restrictive covenants, and boundary issues.
  • Handling possession claims, trespass actions, and property enforcement matters.
  • Supporting insolvency-related property litigation.
  • Drafting pleadings, witness statements, and instructions to counsel.
  • Attending court hearings, mediations, and client meetings.
  • Managing your own caseload with appropriate supervision.
  • Working alongside senior lawyers on complex litigation and alternative dispute resolution matters.
  • Contributing to knowledge sharing, mentoring junior team members, and business development initiatives.

Requirements

  • Qualified Solicitor with experience and a passion about real estate litigation
  • Enthusiasm to learn and develop
  • Technical knowledge of real estate law and dispute resolution procedures.
  • Experience of County Court and First-tier Tribunal proceedings.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A methodical and organised approach to managing work.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering exceptional client service.
