We're hiring for our Regional Experience team, who work with teams across the world to deliver best in class user experiences that feel local to wherever our customers use them. As part of Regional Experience you'll work across the full range of our product from onboarding and verification, through to receiving, sending, and spending money. We're looking for engineers who want to take initiative, collaborate directly with product and design, and work on the highest impact projects across all of our markets.

You will:

  • Build impactful features: Collaborate with regional and product teams to launch high-quality, seamless experiences on our Android platform.
  • Champion team culture: Actively participate in agile ceremonies and help refine our team processes.
  • Elevate the Android Guild: Drive engineering excellence across the organization and help set the gold standard for Android development.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in building and deploying an app that delight customers.
  • Strong proficiency in Kotlin.
  • Familiarity with modern app architectures like Unidirectional Data Flow, Dependency Injection, Structured Concurrency with Kotlin Coroutines, amongst others.
  • Desire to write testable code.
  • Understanding of REST API design.
  • Strong product mindset and passion for user experience, with a focus on prioritising work that addresses user needs and making data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team, as well as independently and proactively solve problems.

Nice to Have:

  • Any experience with declarative UI (Compose), Gradle, and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) would be great!
