The Role

As a Forklift & Logistics Technician, you will play a key role in maintaining the smooth day‑to‑day running of site operations, ensuring materials, equipment and essential services are delivered safely and efficiently across the site. Day‑to‑day, you’ll support a wide range of facilities, logistics and operational activities, carrying out hands‑on support including goods receiving, forklift operation, contractor coordination, site logistics and workspace changes.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Goods receiving and post/package notifications
  • Operating a forklift to move materials, equipment and deliveries safely across site
  • Assisting with manual handling, lift and shift activities and workspace moves
  • Supporting minor Facilities Management (FM) tasks such as lock changes and equipment resets
  • Coordinating and supporting site logistics activities
  • Carrying out general administrative tasks on an ad hoc basis

Essential experience of the Forklift & Logistics Technician:

  • Previous experience in a site support, facilities, stores, warehouse, logistics or operational support role
  • Experience carrying out manual handling, lifting and shifting activities safely within a working environment
  • Ability to operate a forklift and hold a valid forklift licence (or recent relevant experience)
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety practices and safe working procedures
  • Strong organisational skills and a proactive approach to supporting site operations

Essential qualifications for the Forklift & Logistics Technician:

  • Level 3 NVQ in a vocational field or relevant equivalent experience
  • Valid forklift licence (or recent relevant experience)

This role is 37 hours per week based at our Farnborough site. Set working times are 8:00am–4:30pm, Monday to Friday.
