As they continue to scale, the business is investing further in the development of its people and is looking to hire a Sales Trainer / Performance Coach to join the London team and play a pivotal role in driving consultant performance and revenue across the business.
The role
Reporting into and working very closely with senior sales leadership, the Sales Trainer / Performance Coach will be based on the sales floor, embedded among the consultants and working on live business day in, day out. This is a hands-on, commercial role focused on generating as much revenue as possible from the sales teams, sharpening recruitment delivery, and ensuring every consultant – from new starter to experienced biller – is operating at the top of their game. The successful candidate will travel periodically to the international offices to support consultant development, embed best practice, and ensure consistency in performance standards across the global business.
Key responsibilities
- Partner with senior sales leadership to drive revenue growth across the business
- Deliver on-desk performance coaching to consultants and managers on live deals and live desks
- Lead the ramping and development of new starters at all levels, from associate to experienced consultant
- Drive pipeline conversion – ensuring leads are developed, generated and converted into revenue
- Coach consultants on lead generation, business development, candidate management, client management and deal closing
- Continuously develop the recruitment style and strategy of all consultants in line with the business’s operating performance and quality standards
- Tightly manage and reinforce processes, identifying opportunities for improvement and acting on them quickly
- Work alongside management to identify performance gaps, performance trends and development needs
- Embed best practice across contract, permanent, project-based, statement of works (SOW) and MSP recruitment delivery
- Support international offices through periodic travel, ensuring consistent standards and capability across the group

- Proven 360 recruitment experience, ideally gained within a technical or specialist recruitment market
- Strong working knowledge of contract and permanent recruitment, as well as project-based recruitment, statement of works (SOW) and MSP environments
- A track record of high personal billings and/or coaching and developing others to bill at a high level
- The credibility to coach, challenge and influence consultants at all levels – including senior billers and managers
- Confident operating on a live sales floor; comfortable coaching in the moment, on live deals
- Commercial mindset with a sharp focus on revenue, pipeline and conversion
- Highly process-driven, with the ability to identify performance gaps and act decisively
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally as required
