360 Consultant looking to move into lucrative FinTech Recruitment? Keep reading. FinTech is one of the fastest-growing sectors in the global economy. From algorithmic trading platforms and digital banking to AI-driven investment technology and data-led financial services, the industry continues to expand rapidly, and the demand for specialist talent has never been higher. For recruiters, this creates an exceptional opportunity. Working in FinTech recruitment means access to high-value placements, niche technical talent pools and significant earning potential. With average fees of around £30,000 per placement, consultants operating in this market can build extremely profitable desks while partnering with some of the most innovative companies in financial services.
My client provides the platform, a warm historic client base and support structure to make that possible.
About My Client
My client is a boutique specialist recruitment consultancy focused on financial services and technology markets, partnering with leading banks, asset managers, hedge funds and high-growth FinTech firms. Founded by industry experts with over 30 years’ combined experience recruiting in financial services, the firm has quickly built a reputation as a trusted talent partner across the sector. Operating from offices in the heart of the City of London, the business works across several highly specialised markets including:
- Technology & Software Engineering – development, cloud, DevOps, infrastructure and testing
- Digital & Product – product management, UX/UI, digital architecture and mobile technology
- Quantitative & Data Science – AI, machine learning, analytics and quantitative modelling
- Business Change & Transformation – project delivery, strategy, regulatory change and business architecture
These are some of the most in-demand skill areas within financial services, meaning consultants are working on complex, high-value roles across global organisations. Despite being a boutique firm, the company has achieved over 50% year-on-year growth since its launch and regularly competes with far larger recruitment businesses for top clients and mandates. One of the unique aspects of the business is that the entire leadership team — including management — remains hands-on in billing roles, meaning consultants work alongside experienced recruiters who are still actively operating in the market.
The Opportunity
My client is looking to hire 360 Recruitment Consultants with at least 1 year of experience in either contract or permanent recruitment. This is a true full-cycle recruitment role, giving you ownership of your market and the opportunity to build long-term client partnerships within the financial technology ecosystem. You will be working in markets where average fees sit around £30k, giving consultants the potential to generate significant billings.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and grow relationships with FinTech companies, banks and financial institutions
- Generate new business opportunities within your specialist market
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle from client brief through to placement
- Source and engage high-calibre technology and financial services professionals
- Deliver both contract and permanent recruitment solutions
- Build your reputation as a specialist within a defined FinTech or technology vertical
What My Client Is Looking For
- Minimum 1 year experience in recruitment (360 model preferred)
- Experience within contract or permanent recruitment
- Billing a minimum of £150k per annum
- A strong desire to move into FinTech recruitment
- Previous experience recruiting within technology, financial services or FinTech is beneficial but not essential.
Commission, Culture & Incentives
My client has built a reputation not only for strong market performance but also for its collaborative and supportive culture. The team operates with a trust-based mentality, celebrating success together while maintaining healthy competition. The business offers a market-leading commission structure with no threshold, including:
- 10% commission on the first £10k billed
- 30% on £20k+
- Uncapped earnings
Additional benefits include:
- Clear and transparent career progression paths
- Ongoing training and development from experienced recruiters and external providers
- Annual incentive trips and quarterly team events
- High achievers’ lunches at top restaurants
- Fantastic offices in the City of London
- Flexible and mature working environment with no micro-management or KPI-driven culture
Why This Role?
Access to high-value FinTech markets with £30k average fees. Work alongside experienced leaders who are still billing. Clear path to senior consultant, leadership or specialist roles. Opportunity to build a highly profitable recruitment desk in a rapidly growing sector.
If you’re an ambitious recruiter looking to build a long-term, high-earning career within FinTech recruitment, this opportunity offers the platform, training and market access to do exactly that.
