Busy independent workshop in Coventry that does proper work, a lot of JLR among it. They want two solid hands: one experienced all-round technician and one mechanic who's confident on the heavier engine jobs. Real spanner work, not just plugging in and reading codes. You will be:
- servicing
- repairs
- bigger mechanical jobs (timing chains/belts, especially JLR)
- engine work
- diagnostics
Working to time without dropping quality.
You will need:
- proper hands-on experience
- confidence to take on a JLR distribution job and get it right first time
- Tickets (NVQ Level 3 etc.) a bonus, but it's your ability on the ramp that matters here.
The deal: £42K-£48K full-time, or £17-£20/hr if you'd rather go self-employed. Mon-Fri 7:30-5:00 (one hour for lunch, 12-1), optional Saturday 7:00-12:00 if you want the extra.
