THE POSITION:

The Sales Operations Specialist supports the execution and optimization of European sales operations, ensuring efficient, scalable, and data-driven processes across B2B, distribution, and direct sales channels. The role is responsible for maintaining and enhancing operational workflows, supporting commercial performance, and collaborating cross-functionally to improve systems, reporting, and data governance. A key focus is continuous improvement — identifying opportunities to streamline processes, strengthen data accuracy, and enhance the effectiveness of sales operations infrastructure.

ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Support the Sales Operations Manager and commercial leadership in delivering efficient, scalable, and consistent processes.
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and data integrity in all activities.
  • Operate with a proactive mindset, identifying opportunities for improvement and taking initiative to implement change.
  • Demonstrate accountability and ownership of tasks, timelines, and deliverables.

Sales Operations & Process Management

  • Manage and continuously improve end-to-end sales processes across B2B, distribution, and direct sales channels.
  • Identify inefficiencies and implement operational improvements to enhance accuracy, speed, and scalability.
  • Support coordination of operational activities within the European Sales Team.

Product & Pricing Operations

  • Maintain and administer product data, including product creation, lifecycle management, and pricing structures.
  • Ensure integrity and consistency of product and pricing databases.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to standardise and streamline product-related processes.

Systems, Data & Reporting

  • Support the development and maintenance of reporting solutions in collaboration with the BI team (e.g. MicroStrategy).
  • Contribute to system enhancement initiatives by providing user insights and operational requirements to IT and BI stakeholders.
  • Act as a key user within core systems, developing a strong understanding of data structures and business logic.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Sales Administration and wider teams to ensure smooth execution of sales processes.
  • Provide training and support across departments to improve understanding of systems, tools, and workflows.
  • Collaborate with Sales Operations leadership and Commercial Directors to drive operational excellence.

Business Engagement

  • Participate in company strategy meetings, product meetings, and operational reviews as required.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of Roland’s product portfolio, commercial strategy, and market positioning.
  • Ensure awareness of how Sales Operations integrates with broader business functions including finance, logistics, and product teams.

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

Experience & Knowledge

  • Experience working in a data-driven environment with a strong focus on accuracy and organisation.
  • Practical understanding of business processes and operational workflows.
  • Familiarity with reporting tools and data structures (experience with BI platforms is advantageous).
  • Experience in MS Excel at an advanced level; experience leveraging AI tools in analytical workflows is highly desirable.
  • Exposure to the MI industry or related sectors is beneficial but not essential.
