About the Company

Roland Europe Group Ltd is a world leader in the design, manufacture and distribution of electronic musical instruments including keyboards & synthesisers, guitar products, electronic percussion kits, digital recording equipment, amplifiers and audio processing devices. You will be part of a dynamic team, where we believe in kindness, support, acceptance, and hard work and try to provide room for personal development for everyone. At Roland, you will find a friendly, down-to-earth atmosphere. You will work for a company with global activities, but it doesn’t feel corporate. We are always looking for colleagues who have an enthusiastic, positive and driven personality. People who are eager to further develop and challenge themselves. If you also have a passion for Roland, our products or music in general, you might just be our perfect match.

The Position

Do you have a passion for music and a desire to share your enthusiasm with others? Can you deliver fantastic customer experiences, in-store, on the telephone or on-line, working alongside our Product Specialists? Do you have superb communication skills with a patient, understanding and a can-do attitude? Are you comfortable multi-tasking, and handling the unexpected, always with a smile on your face? If you can answer “yes” to all of the above, and are looking for part time work, we want to hear from you.

Our Roland, BOSS & DW showroom on Denmark Street in central London showcases the very best of our products to new, aspiring and experienced musicians alike.

You

We’re looking for an individual to join the team at Roland London, to ensure that our customers get the very best experience possible in our store. You’ll be welcoming customers into the store, finding out what brings them to Roland London, and then guiding them to the appropriate Product Specialist, ensuring that no-one is left unattended. You’ll also introduce customers to our latest in-store experiences. Taking telephone calls, making bookings on our appointment system, handling basic enquiries and ensuring customer data is up to date in our CRM system will certainly be key aspects of this role. You’ll also be on hand to help with other retail tasks such as making sure that the store is presented to the highest standards, processing sales, helping with deliveries and in-store events when they take place.

Experience, Skills & Qualifications Required

  • Having a confident, positive, cheerful and engaging approach is essential for this role.
  • The ability to strike up an engaging conversation with anyone, to immediately put them at ease, and to be able to handle more than one customer at the same time, in a friendly and relaxed manner.
  • The communication skills to comfortably converse, build relationships and interact appropriately with individuals, customers, and the wider Roland/BOSS team — at all levels.
  • An interest and some knowledge in music and musical equipment would be helpful, but is not essential, as we can teach what is required in this role.
  • To be very comfortable and accurate in taking customers personal information, and adding it to our CRM system, so that we can communicate with customers once they leave the store.
  • The ability to react to challenges while remaining calm.
  • The confidence and organisational skills to manage all aspects of a busy retail environment.
  • A flexible approach to working hours.
