Working Pattern: Open to applications seeking office based and remote working positions. (Occasional travel to local office required).

Please note, we are recruiting for one European Marketing Operations Manager.

THE POSITION: The European Marketing Operations Manager is responsible for optimising marketing efficiency within the European market and, together with the Marketing Management Team, actively contribute towards agreed activities being delivered on time, on brand, and on budget. This role embodies our five pillars:

The role will proactively review and refine internal product marketing processes and workflows to optimise communication and resource efficiency. It will work closely with the Global Marketing Strategy Division (MSD) operational team and oversee global marketing project boards to identify relevant opportunities and feed back to European Marketing and Product Management teams for consideration. Additionally, the European Marketing Operations Manager oversees the European Translation Team's performance, motivation, and output—especially within machine learning and AI integration—by consistently developing team culture, skills, and productivity through qualitative line management and appraisal sessions.

ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Traffic all European key marketing efforts and projects, ensuring deadlines and assigned budgets are met and keeping European Marketing Director up to date of progress, flagging potential challenges or critical resource bottlenecks.
  • Monitor and feed forward Global initiatives to European Marketing and Product Management Teams within relevant forums, for review and potential uptake.
  • Monitor that the European Marketing and Product Teams work to a standardised and documented planning and reporting workflow.
  • Project lead key European tradeshows and events, and optimise attendance through excellent brand experience, strong pre-post communication strategy and leverage data acquisition wherever possible.
  • Support European Marketing Director with activity budget and PO coordination.
  • Support European Marketing Director with researching and collating market trends, customer insights, and competitive intelligence data.
  • Offer project coordination / support to European Product Management with larger category focused activity.
  • Establish strong working relationships with Regional Marketing and Product teams – as well as MSD counterparts.
  • Coach and develop the EU Translations Team into a consistently motivated, healthy and successful Team.
  • Perform quality monthly 121s with all direct reports, the outcomes of which are to be captured and completed in Actus. Quality is defined by meaningful discussions, capturing relevant goals along with updates, assisting with challenges, development, and coaching.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Must have experience as a key member within a conversion focused and commercially oriented marketing team, including minimum 1 year within a management, executive or strategist role (or similar).
  • Must have hands-on digital marketing expertise including SEM, SEO and digital advertising within a professional environment.
  • Must have excellent and proven project management experience, with an ability to manage multiple projects at once from initial planning to measuring results and continued optimisation.
  • Tangible experience from organising and executing events and tradeshows within a B2C or B2B environment is a must.
  • Must be analytical with good understanding and experience in Excel, with a real drive around data.
  • Must be a strong communicator and negotiator, who easily connects with colleagues and partners.
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Experience / knowledge of the musical instruments industry is a must.
  • Relevant degree in marketing is desired but not essential.
  • Experience of using online project management tools (for example, Asana, Trello etc.) is preferred.
  • Experience from sales account management or account-based marketing is preferred.
