At Roku, the Viewer Product Team is connecting millions of viewers worldwide to their favourite entertainment, through a uniquely Roku experience. The International Product Team works with functional experts and strategic leaders to build and execute roadmaps for all aspects of the Roku ecosystem in markets around the world. The team works cross‐functionally to understand the needs of our consumers and partners, analyze data to draw insights and learnings, collaborate on a thoughtful go‐to‐market plan to drive the success of the latest features, and work hand‐in‐hand across marketing, sales, merchandising, data science, engineering, and other product teams.
We are looking for a strategic, growth‐focused, collaborative, and experienced product manager to lead Roku's viewer (OS / platform) product management function in the UK. In this role, you will oversee our growth & engagement strategy, manage our product roadmap, and identify key product priorities that advance Roku's strategic goals in the UK. You will play a critical role in accelerating the growth of the Roku business in the UK and work together with other leaders in the market to cultivate a strategic plan that positions Roku as a future leader in UK media & streaming. You will be accountable for setting and achieving key market goals that support our broader UK strategy, and have a hand with other key leaders in the market in formulating that strategy.
The ideal candidate is a strong product thinker, highly strategic while tactically savvy, and skilled at navigating a matrixed environment. They know how to build trust and alignment, manage & optimise a product roadmap, solve complex problems through communication, transparency & critical thinking, and thrive in a fast‐paced and collaborative setting. This position will be located at our office in London and will report to the Director of Product, Management, International Growth. It requires the ability to travel internationally, as well as domestically to our offices in Cambridge & Manchester.
What You'll Be Doing
- Manage & optimise Roku's viewer (OS) product roadmap for the UK
- Own our product growth & engagement strategy across the UK, partnering with other key leaders in the UK office
- Drive alignment on key market metrics and goals, and be accountable for achieving those goals through product launches & initiatives led by partner teams
- Enable & design in‐market experimentation to ensure our products fit the unique needs of the UK market
- Ensure that market‐specific needs & opportunities are represented in cross‐functional planning and that our product efforts drive tangible business outcomes
- Build and strengthen relationships between the International Product team and other UK‐based Roku teams (marketing, ad sales, content distribution & monetization)
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to optimise the delivery of new features and ensure strong execution
- Communicate progress and strategy clearly across multiple levels of the organisation, including executive stakeholders both in the UK and abroad
We're Excited If You Have
- Product management experience
- Significant experience working in the UK TV or streaming industry, with a deep understanding of the ecosystem, technologies, and customer expectations
- Experience working either for or with key UK media leaders or partners
- Hands‐on (product‐led) growth experience
- Experience with lifecycle marketing, user engagement strategy & activation, or hands‐on experience in understanding and driving long‐term consumer retention
- Strong strategic thinking, prioritisation, organisation and execution skills
- Experience working cross‐functionally across Product, Engineering, Marketing, and other disciplines to drive projects through completion
- Excellent communication and stakeholder / executive management skills
- Ability to improvise when necessary and solve complex problems with simple or unexpected solutions
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Our Hybrid Work Approach
