What You’ll Take On (The Actual Job Description)
This is a role for a technically strong claims professional who thrives on complexity, enjoys building trusted relationships and wants to shape outcomes across a diverse international liability portfolio. You'll combine commercial judgement, technical expertise and stakeholder influence to deliver an exceptional claims service while helping drive continuous improvement across the wider function.
What You’ll Take On
An opportunity for an experienced claims professional to own complex and higher-value matters across multiple specialty classes. You’ll manage claims end to end, using strong technical judgement to shape strategy, assess coverage and reserves, and deliver fair, commercially sound outcomes. Working across the London Market, you’ll build trusted relationships while strengthening claims insight, governance and performance.
- Own complex claims from notification to resolution, setting clear strategies, accurate reserves and well-reasoned decisions within agreed authority.
- Turn technical, legal and quantum insight into action, progressing large and complex losses while escalating material issues at the right time.
- Partner with brokers, capacity providers and external experts, negotiating practical outcomes while maintaining service quality and proportionate cost control.
- Use claims data and portfolio insight to improve performance, supporting reporting, watchlists, loss funds, reinsurance communication and emerging-risk analysis.
- Strengthen claims capability across the business, sharing technical expertise, challenging processes constructively and improving how claims are managed.
