We are seeking a Property Broker with proven experience placing complex risks across a broad property portfolio.
The role covers a diverse range of sectors, including Mixed Real Estate, Municipalities, Schools, Hospitality, Religious Entities, Manufacturing, Retail, Residential, Waste and Recycling, Food and Agriculture, and Warehouses.
The successful candidate will have experience placing risks across the USA, Canada, Australia, and wider international markets, demonstrating the ability to navigate both domestic and cross-border placements.
- Role Accountabilities
- To negotiate the finest possible terms and conditions for our clients, using appropriate knowledge, expertise, and market presence for the desired cover.
- Working with colleagues to ensure that all new and renewal business, mid-term amendments, and general enquiries are dealt with in a timely and professional manner.
- Develop strong and long-term relationships with clients and markets, always looking at ways to improve these relationships.
- Usage of departmental mandatory documentation, such as market sheets and checklists and adherence to departmental procedures.
- Ensuring that all conversations are electronically recorded.
- Liaise with other members of the division as required to assess client requirements and broking strategy on any particular risk.
- To organise, manage, and run a renewal book of allocated risks.
- Assist with the setting and monitoring of sales targets, both personal and team.
- Resolve issues and handle complaints efficiently and effectively.
- Conduct reviews to ensure the quality of both personal outputs and those of the wider team.
- Maintaining the company’s electronic filing system in a timely and accurate manner.
- Providing and undertaking training as required by your line manager.
- Any additional duties as assigned.
- Role Requirements
- Property Insurance knowledge from a broker background
- Client and Market-facing experience with an established Broker network
- Excellent communication skills, both written (tenders, reports, presentations) and verbal (client meetings, colleague meetings and delivery of tenders and presentations)
- Proven organisational abilities and able to multitask
- Diligence, accuracy and ability to work to strict deadlines and under pressure
