Role Summary
We are seeking an Exposure Analyst who will be responsible for delivering stochastic modelling and exposure reporting and managing our UK and US underwriting such as Property D&F, Cargo, Marine, Construction, and Power.
The successful candidate will receive training from highly experienced Exposure Management (EM) individuals in this field and will eventually manage and look after the underwriting team requirements.
The role requires liaising with both the underwriting team and relevant stakeholders that contribute to the aggregation and stochastic modelling of each class.
The role will be supporting our MGA, Rokstone Underwriting and EM team and will be a great opportunity to eventually step up and look after individual classes of business and learn about both Exposure Management and Catastrophe modelling from an MGA perspective.

- Role Accountabilities
- Manage and monitor the daily operation of the AIR modelling platform, catastrophe model analytics and exposure accumulation system.
- Contribute to the workflow automation for scheduled reports and other repetitive modelling tasks.
- Work with the Exposure Management team to create catastrophe model and Exposure reporting results for the UK underwriting classes.
- Support the Exposure Management team on London underwriting team requirements during busy periods, if required.
- Become the first point of contact for the underwriting team, MIS and Exposure Management team for all reporting and modelling enquiries and queries.
- Liaise with the underwriting team to produce ad hoc catastrophe model analyses.
- Liaise with the other teams to assist data entry, aggregation and cat modelling of each class.
- Assist with various other projects and reporting related to natural catastrophes as required.
- Interact closely with the Exposure Management team, Verisk and Exposure Hub specialists to achieve superior data quality in Rokstone’s cat modelling and exposure reporting.
- Manage pre-bind and post-bind process and deliver regular reporting to both the UK underwriting teams and London Exposure Management team.
- Follow Verisk to keep track of most recent cat model developments.

- Role Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Geography, Science or other related degree.
- Experience in the insurance industry is useful but not essential.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within teams.
- Flexibility to work extended hours if required.
Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge in Microsoft Excel, V look ups and pivot tables, formulars, data manipulation.
- Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio and/or GIS skills are useful by not essential.
- Strong analytical and problem solving approach as you will be working alone and alongside the Exposure Management team.
- Highly motivated team player with good interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multi-task is required.
- Strong communication skills is required to liaise with the Exposure Management team and underwriting teams.
