We are seeking a reliable and professional Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering goods efficiently and safely, ensuring timely service to clients. Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles, including flatbed lorries, for local and regional deliveries
- Load and unload goods with care, ensuring items are secure during transit
- Plan delivery routes efficiently to meet deadlines and optimise fuel consumption
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues promptly
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding delivery schedules or delays
- Assist in warehouse activities as needed, including stock movement and inventory checks
- Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies throughout all driving activities
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial driving or as a delivery driver
- Knowledge of driving regulations and safety standards within the UK
- Experience operating flatbed vehicles or similar large transport equipment is desirable
- Mechanical knowledge beneficial for basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting
- Previous warehouse experience is advantageous but not essential
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and clients
