We are looking to recruit an experienced and pro‑active Facilities and Premises Manager to lead the management and maintenance of our school premises. As a key member of the support staff, this is a pivotal role impacting all aspects of school life. You will be key in ensuring that our buildings, grounds and facilities are maintained to a high standard.

We are a highly successful Surrey prep school, providing all‑round education and development enabling our pupils to achieve excellent outcomes, in terms of high exam results, entry to leading senior schools, scholarships and awards and, most importantly of all, rounded characters, capability and confidence as young men with the world at their feet. Set on a private estate near Kingston, you will be close to Richmond Park and the River Thames, yet within short travelling distance into central London.

  • The maintenance and upkeep of the school buildings and grounds.
  • Procuring services and delivering projects in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Supporting the Bursar in developing and implementing the 5 year development plan.
  • Leading, motivating, and supporting the premises team, ensuring clear communication and effective collaboration.
  • Managing day‑to‑day premises activities including transport, assembly/exam set‑ups, cleaning, routine maintenance and servicing.
  • Liaising with teaching and support staff to ensure that the needs of the school are met.
  • Ensuring Health and Safety compliance, overseeing and implementing the appropriate safety protocols and risk assessments.
  • Managing the annual premises and grounds budgets.

£42,500 to £50,000 pa depending on experience. Permanent Rokeby School. We offer excellent training and CPD opportunities, a generous pension scheme, 25 days holiday (plus public holidays) and an inclusive and supportive workplace.
