The Managed Services team routinely manages complex and challenging sourcing requirements across a number of high-profile customer frameworks. Within this role, there will be an opportunity to work with a diverse range of organisations, from micro companies to large global primes and academia.
We are looking for an experienced Supply Chain Manager who can apply their procurement and supply chain expertise:
- Engaging and influencing internal and external stakeholders in procurement and supply chain strategy (up to and including executive and board level);
- Managing strategic, critical and preferred supplier relationships;
- Experienced negotiator, leading contract negotiations with suppliers, adjusting style and technique to secure favourable contract terms;
- Methodical and analytical with a keen eye for detail, with a continuous improvement mindset;
- Project Management experience, ensuring supplier contract delivery remains on track in line with performance expectations and targets;
- Line management responsibility including coaching and supporting others.

Key Responsibilities
- Relevant professional qualification (i.e. MCIPS or equivalent);
- Proactively managing strategic, critical and preferred supplier relationships, including ancillary support to cross-functional teams;
- Undertaking supplier management and development activities, including performance reporting for internal and external stakeholders;
- Experienced in MOD contracting, leading supplier contract negotiations ensuring favourable terms and suitable commercial rigour, executed in line with Supply Chain policy and process;
- Ensuring procurement and supply issues are identified and promptly resolved to ensure supplier contract delivery remains on track in line with performance targets;
- Undertaking appropriate supplier due diligence, risk and audit activities;
- Line Management responsibility;
- Undertaking any other reasonable duties commensurate with the job holder’s experience and qualifications as may be required.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Strong team player experienced in introducing procurement ‘best practice’ across a multi-discipline business;
- Able to manage the varied demands of complex and high-profile customer frameworks, often working to short timescales;
- Demonstrable track record of developing and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships;
- Methodical and analytical mind-set and able to apply procurement theory in a flexible, efficient and effective manner;
- Tenacious and patient when managing change through an organisation;
- Able to operate at strategic level and develop tools and tactics at an operational level that will contribute to the PMO’s strategic goals;
- Experienced in supplier management and development activities driving ‘best in class’ supplier contract performance;
- Strong commercial acumen with strong MOD contracting experience, leading and executing supplier contract negotiations;
- Proficient level of IT skills, including Microsoft Office 365, Teams, IFS would be advantageous.
