You will be the point of contact in the business for planning the manufacture of our products. You will liaise with cross-departmental stakeholders to understand the manufacturing needs, undertake materials planning and ensure that materials reach production on time. You will be responsible for work in progress, use of inventory, stock takes and issuing documents for the production team.
Primary Job Purpose- Ensure all customer product orders are delivered On-Time-In-Full.
- Plan the product build demands in collaboration with Production Planners and Project Managers.
- Raise external requirements to build on subcontractors and suppliers and liaise with them to achieve OTIF delivery.
- Liaise with Sales and Programme Management to ensure Production Plans are understood and communicated to the rest of the business.
- Liaise with Supply Chain to ensure supplier delivery plans are in place.
- Negotiate with suppliers and manage expectations.
- Interpret the recommended ERP/MRP requirements and drive subcontractor’s orders placement.
- Work with Supply Chain to ensure purchase requisitions are raised timely and materials are delivered on time.
- Monitor job status and performance in conjunction with the production and procurement teams and drive mitigations.
- Liaise with suppliers to ensure issues are identified early and mitigated.
- Work closely with other teams to provide regular project updates, stock and order information, along with opportunities for improvement.
- Work closely with Engineering and Project Management teams to ensure compliance with relevant change notices and subcontractor current build configurations and status.
- Plan and manage subcontractor capacity.
- Drive Planning through the use of the ERP/MRP tool.
- Always fully comply with Roke’s policies and procedures.
- Undertake such other reasonable duties, commensurate with the job holder’s experience and qualifications, as may be required for the smooth operation of the business.
- Liaise with Manufacturing Engineering and Supply Chain to drive supplier Improvement plans.
- Degree qualified preferably CPIM Certification an advantage.
- Strong computer-based literacy.
- Extensive experience in a Manufacturing Planning/ Supply Chain environment.
- Experience working in electronics and electromechanical assembly an advantage.
- Experienced with ERP/MRP tools (IFS an advantage).
- Excellent communication skills and experience working with senior executives.
- Experience liaising and negotiating with subcontractors.
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing Tools and Techniques an advantage.
