An opportunity has arisen for a Sales Solutions Architect within the Defence Information Advantage - AI & Analytics Line of Business.
Role
- Deliver engineering excellence into Business Winning Processes.
- Provide engineering support to Client Managers during Client Engagements – always know the intent of the Sales Manager prior to the call.
- Develop solutions and initiate the development of Roke IP – directly aligned to customer opportunities.
- Provide Engineering & Solution leadership to bids.
Accountabilities
- Accountable for the production of high-quality solutions to captures and bids.
- Accountable for the quality of the ‘technical volume’ of major bids.
- Support the Sales function achieve their financial targets.
Responsibilities
- Developing and defining the High-Level Solution for all captures within the AI & Analytics line of business.
- Completing a detailed Gap Analysis comparing the High-Level solution for each capture to AI & Analytics, Information Advantage and wider Roke capabilities.
- Producing detailed specification of capability gaps and escalating to the relevant members of the leadership and delivery team (Engineering, Product, Software, Innovation) as necessary.
- At the outset of bids, set the vision for the solution and deliver engineering and solution leadership to bid teams ensuring that solutions and proposals remain aligned to the high-level vision.
- Provide expert engineering support to the Sales Manager during client engagements.
- Identify gaps between customer specified standards and Roke’s Engineering Processes, escalating where necessary via the operations team.
- In conjunction with Engineering leadership – allocate appropriate engineering resources to bids.
- Identify and escalate Opportunities and Risks associated with Engineering associated with captures and bids.
Where will you be based?
Your work will primarily be based at one of Roke’s sites – Romsey or Woking, and you will be expected to travel to the sites where your line management team members are based if not your primary site. Occasional business travel to other sites may be required.

Due to the nature of this position, we require you to be eligible to achieve SC as a minimum and in some cases DV clearance may be required. As a result, you should have resided in the UK for the last 5 years for SC and 10 years for DV.
