Join our growing Sensors and Comms team within Roke’s National Security group. You’ll work on a range of complex and challenging projects to aid critical missions that directly affect the National Security of the United Kingdom.
What you’ll be doing
- Research. Dive deep into existing and emerging technologies. You will work alongside one or more of the teams in RF cyber, communication systems and locations technologies.
- Design, prototype, build and test. Challenge your creativity. Our customers have novel requirements. The tools you build will ultimately help protect lives and our National Security.
- Advise. You will act as a trusted advisor, in a position that demands integrity. There are roles available for a wide range of experience and responsibilities.
What you’ll bring
Whether you specialise in a specific field or have a very broad understanding of technologies, you will apply your experience to mission-led programmes. You will have experience in any number of the areas below or hold a degree in a related STEM subject:
- Wireless technologies (Cellular, PNT, IoT etc)
- RF systems, electronics and antennas
- FPGA Design & Development
- MATLAB/Simulink, C/C++, Python
- System engineering lifecycles, safety and testing

Location
Romsey – a unique Manor House site near the New Forest and south coast, with on-site parking and gym. A free minibus service runs between Romsey station and the office. Relocation packages are available for suitable candidates.
Clearance
Due to the nature of this role, we require you hold or to be eligible to achieve DV clearance. As a result, you should be a British Citizen and have resided in the U.K. for the last 10 years.
