As an Embedded FPGA / DSP Developer, you will:
- FPGA Design & Development: Design, simulation, synthesis, and implementation of digital logic circuits.
- DSP Algorithm Implementation: Develop, simulate, and optimize real-time DSP algorithms (e.g., FIR/IIR filters, FFTs, I/Q demodulation, mixers).
- Hardware Interfacing: Create and manage high-speed digital interfaces (ADC, DAC, PCIe).
- System Integration: Collaborate with embedded software, PCB design, and systems engineering teams to integrate firmware into the final product.
- Debugging & Lab Testing: Use oscilloscopes, spectrum analysers, and signal generators to validate designs in the lab.
Required skills:
- Technical Expertise: Proven experience in FPGA design (VHDL/Verilog) and DSP algorithm implementation.
- Languages: Strong command of VHDL/Verilog and MATLAB/Simulink.
- Software Skills: Embedded C/C++ or Python for testing, automation, and processor-based interaction.
- Knowledge Base: Understanding of digital communication theory, RF principles.
Where you’ll work… ROMSEY - Located within beautiful Hampshire countryside, close to the picturesque New Forest District and not far from a superb stretch of the south coast. This is no corporate concrete jungle; this is a manor house site, with ample parking, an on-site gym and a driveway full of daffodils in the spring.
Clearances… Due to the nature of this role, we require you to be eligible and willing to achieve DV clearance.
