Technical Apprentice - Production and Prototyping in Woking

You’ll be joining Future Compute within the Information Advantage team of our Defence Business Unit. We design, manufacture and upgrade solutions to support the missions of our customers from multiple countries around the world. In the Production part of Defence BU, we focus on the build, test and assembly of a variety of volume and prototype products. You will work on the production and manufacture of our products for our customers from our site in Romsey. You will play a crucial role in supporting our yearly build and revenue targets and be involved in cross-functional work with our Production, Planning, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain and Logistics teams.

The Key Requirements

• Our apprenticeship partner, Chichester University requires you to have obtained 3 x A’ Levels grade c or above including Mathematics, or equivalent BTEC Level 3 vocational qualifications, or relevant work experience.

Where you’ll work…

Alongside hybrid and flexible working options, you’ll find our Romsey site located within beautiful Hampshire countryside, close to the picturesque New Forest District and not far from a superb stretch of the south coast. This is no corporate concrete jungle; this is a manor house site, with ample parking an on-site gym and a driveway full of daffodils in the spring. You will also attend University for one-and-a-half days per week in year one, and one day per week in years two to four, as well as studying independently outside of your work hours.

Clearances

Due to the nature of this position, we require you to be eligible to achieve BPSS and SC initially with the expectation of achieving DV. As a result, you should have resided in the UK for the last 10 years and prepared to declare any travel that includes being out of the UK for more than 28 days in the last 5 years.
