Great ideas come from different minds. That’s why we bring together engineers, scientists, analysts, and creatives from every background — and give them the trust, tools, and freedom to make a difference. What connects us is the mission: solving meaningful problems and building capability that protects what matters most. And as the challenges evolve, so do we — working on the technologies that will shape tomorrow, not just today.

If you are looking for a Degree Apprenticeship and have an interest in areas such as cyber security, software development, reverse engineering, AI/ML, and data science, Roke could be the place for you.

As an Apprentice Engineer, you’ll enter an environment that provides an exceptional platform to launch your career. At Roke we believe it’s not about joining an apprenticeship scheme that just equips you with skills and no practice, it’s about being somewhere that pushes the boundaries technically – with a real opportunity to innovate.

Organisations have turned to Roke for decades — to deliver engineering that protects nations, strengthens critical systems, and pushes the edge of what’s possible. Born in Britain, active worldwide, we’ve built radar systems, sensing platforms, AI, autonomy and more. Always advancing. Always applied. Technology moves fast — but purpose, craft and care set the pace.

At Roke, we imagine a more secure world. A world where technology protects, rather than exposes. A world where expert engineers, consultants and business support staff collaborate to protect what matters most to our clients. We are a friendly and flexible team with a culture of ‘time, trust and freedom’. We pride ourselves on listening to each other’s aspirations and accommodating working styles that help everyone thrive.

As an Apprentice Engineer, you’ll spend your initial weeks in a specially created boot camp that equips you with the fundamental skills required to succeed at Roke. After this, you’ll join a project alongside your apprenticeship studies and start to directly contribute to the country’s safety and solve the nation’s toughest challenges.
