Your projects will be diverse — working with varying clients, across a number of sectors, using a range of skills. Consequently, we are looking for individuals able to work flexibly across projects in different domains. You might apply your skills to rapidly prototype new approaches and solutions. Equally, you may apply them to complement or advance existing solutions. You will be part of a stimulating, collaborative and driven team that offers you autonomy, challenge, and strong sense of purpose.
Depending on the project, there will be opportunities to demonstrate technology to customers and support customer test and acceptance. We are looking for a talented and passionate Electronic Digital Design Engineer to join our dynamic team and contribute to the development of state‑of‑the‑art electronics for defence and electronic warfare systems.
Key Responsibilities- Take ownership of engineering lifecycle for digital subsystems for electronic warfare applications and defence‑related projects, including:
- Requirements management for digital subsystem
- High level design of major functional blocks to meet requirements
- Detailed schematic design of full design to meet requirements
- Simulation to de‑risk aspects of design
- Test planning and specification to ensure requirements are met
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in digital electronic design with responsibility for complex and high‑speed designs.
- Knowledge of analogue circuit design desirable.
- Knowledge/use of digital design tools (e.g., PCB CAD, Spice simulation, HyperLynx signal integrity, Altium).
- Experience with hardware verification and debugging techniques.
- Familiarity with defence industry standards, security protocols, and electronic warfare principles is a significant advantage.
- Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of analogue circuit design.
- Design and development of microprocessor, FPGA based systems, power supply and battery management systems.
- Design for safety, reliability, test, manufacture, support and obsolescence management through volume manufacture and compliance to industry standards.
