Our client, a leading Global Banking Group, is seeking a Vice President to join its Finance & Control function, with responsibility for UK Finance disclosures (ESG). The role sits within a strategic finance team and works closely with Finance, Risk, Legal, Operations and senior stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the annual UK sustainability disclosure cycle under the UK Companies Act, including TCFD-aligned reporting
- Engage subject matter experts across Finance, Risk, Legal and Operations to gather, challenge and validate inputs
- Ensure disclosures are delivered to a high standard, on time, and supported by robust controls and documentation
- Liaise with Group, Head Office and EU counterparts to ensure consistency and alignment
- Manage interactions with internal and external auditors
- Prepare materials for Board and senior committee reporting
- Conduct peer and market analysis to track evolving disclosure practices
New Reporting Standards
- Support the implementation of ISSB sustainability reporting standards in the UK
- Perform gap analysis against current processes and develop compliance roadmaps
- Design and embed improved data collection, reporting and governance processes
- Work with senior management and governance committees to integrate new requirements into Finance & Control frameworks
What you bring to the table:
- 7+ years’ experience in Investment Banking, with a strong understanding of Finance Control, Regulatory Reporting and External Reporting.
- Qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, or equivalent).
- Hands-on experience with UK sustainability disclosures, including TCFD
- Understanding of ISSB standards and their adoption in the UK
- Strong governance, controls and documentation mindset
- Experience implementing ISSB, CSRD or ESRS
- Knowledge of EU sustainability disclosure frameworks
- Exposure to climate risk, stress testing or ESG data tools
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and ability to meet tight deadlines.
