Are you ready to take your career to the next level? Our client, a leading Global Banking Group, is seeking a Vice President to join its Finance & Control function, with responsibility for Product Control. This is a key position supporting Sales & Trading businesses, offering significant Front Office exposure and the opportunity to drive enhancements across financial controls, reporting, and automation.

- Debt & Equity Capital Markets
- Fixed Income & Equity Trading
- M&A
- Treasury Activity
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily P&L reporting across all products and services within the securities businesses
- Provide backup coverage for derivatives P&L reporting, with a focus on IRS, CCS, and RPI trades
- Daily XVA reporting
- Enhance IPV processes and reporting
- Identify, investigate, and resolve root causes of issues within core Product Control activities
- Strengthen the control framework and drive process and automation improvements
- Balance sheet substantiation and GL controls
- Ensure GL revenue balances reconcile to management and daily revenue reports, providing clear and insightful commentary
- Develop subject-matter expertise to support wider finance transformation initiatives
Your Background:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA or equivalent), with 5+ years’ banking experience
- Strong controls-focused mindset with a commitment to the integrity of financial reporting
- Solid understanding of the securities business, including trade lifecycles for bonds, equities, and repos, as well as corporate actions and associated accounting entries
- Knowledge of key market and product risks and underwriting processes
- Understanding of trade date vs value date accounting, with exposure to IFRS and GAAP
- Good knowledge of CVA, DVA, and FVA and the factors impacting daily valuations
- Ability to understand end-to-end operating and accounting processes
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and ability to meet tight deadlines.
