This role is crucial in leading on-site operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and top-quality results.
Primary Function: The Site Foreman will oversee daily site activities, manage crews, and coordinate with project managers and subcontractors to maintain project timelines, quality standards, and safety compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and direct a crew of 4-6 workers on various job sites
- Operate construction equipment, including skid steers, small excavators, and trucks with trailers
- Ensure all work is completed safely, on schedule, and within budget
- Use surveying tools to assist with project layouts
- Enforce OSHA regulations and maintain a safe job site
- Manage materials, deliveries, and subcontractor coordination
- Maintain clear communication with project managers and clients
- Perform hands-on site work, including grading, installation, and finishing
- Travel as needed across New England, with occasional overnight stays
Qualifications:
Required:
- Valid DOT Health Card
- OSHA 10 Certification
- Hands-on experience operating skid steers, small excavators, and trucks with trailers
- Ability to interpret blueprints, plans, and site layouts
- Familiarity with basic surveying equipment
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Valid driver’s license with a clean record
- Willingness to travel for projects as required
Preferred:
- OSHA 30 Certification
- CDL License
- Experience in sports field and recreational space construction
