We have an exciting opportunity for a Registered General Nurse (RGN) with oncology experience to join our team of sarcoma specialist nurses. As a member of our Macmillan specialist nursing team, you will plan, coordinate and deliver patient care for teenagers and adults with sarcoma and metastatic bone disease at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate and deliver patient care for teenagers and adults with sarcoma and metastatic bone disease.
- Support patients and families, ensuring effective communication regarding treatment pathways and maintaining an exemplary patient and family experience throughout the journey.
- Act as a keyworker and facilitate specialist orthopaedic oncology care for patients and their families.
- Coordinate care across the cancer journey, providing information and support.
- Work closely with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure effective communication and optimal patient outcomes.
