The predicted salary is between 38616 - 46141 £ per year.

To assist the ward manager/senior charge nurse in the responsibility of the delivery, standards and management of patient care on the ward or department. To provide guidance, support and clinical leadership to the clinical team, while working closely with Senior Sister/ senior charge nurse to ensure effective use of ward and departmental resources. The Band 6 will be expected to deputise for the Senior Sister/ Senior Charge Nurse in their absence and to support and educate junior staff within the clinical area.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the daily smooth running of the ward from admission to discharge. They will ensure safe care staffing standards are adhered to with safety, infection control, governance, audits, staff support and development addressed on a daily basis. The successful candidate will co-ordinate patient care, attend ward rounds, liaise with support teams and therapists and communicate effectively with all members of the ward team.
