We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Staff Nurse to join our dynamic Pre-Operative Assessment Clinic (POAC) team. This role is vital in ensuring patients are safely and effectively prepared for elective surgery. You will be responsible for carrying out comprehensive pre-operative assessments, identifying potential risks, and coordinating necessary investigations to optimise patients ahead of their surgical journey.

The successful candidate will work closely with multidisciplinary teams including anaesthetists, surgeons, and administrative staff to provide high-quality, patient-centred care. This is a varied and rewarding role that combines clinical assessment skills, patient education, and care planning, with opportunities to develop both professionally and personally. The successful candidate will be expected to cover a range of shifts currently 6 days a week. We require you to have an RGN qualification and up to date NMC registration. Please note a full Disclosure Barring Service application will be required for these posts.

Practice autonomously and be responsible and accountable for safe, compassionate, person centred care. Be responsible for assessing care needs of patients, planning, implementation and the evaluation of these programmes without direct supervision.
