With a growing product portfolio and customer base, we are looking for a talented and competent application engineer/product specialist that will thrive in a busy sales environment.
The successful candidate will play a fundamental role in supporting our sales team across the north of the UK including Scotland to achieve ambitious revenue growth objectives. You must be self‑motivated, have good interpersonal skills, be comfortable presenting and discussing our technical solutions, and working as part of a busy sales team.
Responsibilities- Responsible for technical support, both pre and post sales, covering the test and measurement product portfolio, including signal generators, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, power sensors and oscilloscopes.
- Serve as a main point of contact for internal and external customers, providing technical assistance via telephone, email and on‑site visits.
- In pre‑sales, identify and guide customers to the correct solution through technical qualification, including delivering focused presentations and demonstrations of the equipment.
- In post‑sales, provide timely support such as instrument familiarisation, hands‑on training, or ensuring the purchased test solution is optimised for the customer’s requirements.
- Attend regular training and maintain a high level of technical competence.
- Coach peers and contribute to achieving sales targets.
- Support marketing team at exhibitions, events and seminars.
- Part of a wider European team identifying new business opportunities, developing relationships and growing the existing customer base.
- HNC or degree in Electronics/Electrical/Communications Engineering or similar technical qualifications.
- Technical experience in the test and measurement field, including RF, power electronics and time domain.
- Knowledge of RF and microwave engineering.
- Ability to create customised solutions for customers.
- Willingness to travel periodically across Europe for training courses and customer support.
- Excellent customer‑facing and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong listening and presentation skills.
