Title: Site Manager

Project Locations: Nationwide (Key areas: Southwest, South Central, South Wales)

Office Location: Bristol

Salary: £20 – £23 per hour (depending on experience)

Package: Company Van, Fuel Card, £15 per day Night shift uplift, £15 per day meal allowance, accommodation, Travel time Paid, Healthcare

Start: ASAP

Shift Pattern/Hours: 12 on, 2 off / 12-hour shifts / mixture of days & nights / 60 hours per week

Requirements: Joiner or Trade Background, CSCS White/Black/Gold, SMSTS, First Aid, Asbestos, Ability to read drawings

Project Type: Fitout, Refurbishment, Extension, and Conversions of Retail Stores, Fast Food Restaurants, Hotels, etc.

Client Background: My client is a Main Contractor with a strong history in Shopfitting across the UK. Due to successful tenders and the development of 2 new teams/accounts this year, they are looking for site managers to join on a permanent basis.

Most work is in the leisure, hospitality, and retail sectors for clients such as Mitchell & Butler, Greene King, Punch Taverns, Hickories.

Duties:

  • Oversee and manage all aspects of the project, ensuring completion on time and within budget.
  • Coordinate and schedule all site activities, including subcontractors, suppliers, and tradespeople.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Monitor and enforce health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with design teams, contractors, and stakeholders to meet project goals.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks to uphold standards.
  • Resolve issues, conflicts, or disputes during the project.
  • Manage project budgets, expenses, resources, and report progress to senior management.
  • Maintain accurate records of project activities, reports, and change orders.
  • Communicate regularly with stakeholders regarding project status and milestones.
  • Procure materials, equipment, and resources for project progression.
  • Ensure all documentation, permits, and approvals are maintained.
  • Lead and supervise site personnel, providing guidance and support.
