Overview

My client is a leading Design & Build contractor delivering complex refurbishment and construction projects across the Commercial and Industrial sectors. With project values reaching up to £50m, they specialise in delivering high-quality, fast-paced refurbishment and fitout schemes with a strong emphasis on programme certainty, quality, and commercial performance. They are now seeking an experienced Senior Site Manager / Site-Based Project Manager to take full responsibility for the successful delivery of key Central London projects from inception through to completion.

Must Have

  • Proven experience as a Senior Site Manager or Site-Based Project Manager
  • Strong experience delivering commercial Design & Build refurbishment schemes
  • Experience managing projects up to £50m
  • CSCS Black or White card (Gold not accepted)
  • SMSTS & First Aid
  • Strong track record managing commercial and industrial construction projects
  • At least 5 years’ experience managing and supervising construction sites
  • Structured and stable career history

Duties

  • Take full responsibility for the day-to-day running and successful delivery of site operations across all floors
  • Lead coordination of all site activities, including subcontractors, suppliers, and trades, ensuring alignment with programme and project objectives
  • Own health & safety performance on site, ensuring full compliance with statutory requirements and company procedures
  • Drive programme performance, proactively managing sequencing, logistics, and resources to maintain progress against key milestones
  • Maintain rigorous quality control standards, ensuring works are delivered right first time and to a high standard of finish
  • Act as the key site-based point of contact for designers, consultants, clients, and wider project stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate and detailed site records, including reporting, progress updates, and documentation control
  • Proactively identify and resolve site issues, coordination clashes, and buildability challenges
  • Apply a strong commercial awareness to support cost control, value delivery, and efficient project execution
  • Lead, coordinate, and develop site teams, ensuring strong communication, accountability, and performance on site
