A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a specialist fast track retail fit out contractor based in Derby. The requirement is for an experienced Quantity Surveyor who has experience of fast track retail fit outs, refurbishment projects and shell and core. Projects are located throughout on a regional basis and will be predominantly shopfitting projects that can range in value from £100,000 - £2M and provide a wealth of variety in the role. You will have extensive retail fit out experience. You will have the offer to work from home 2-3 days per week and join a successful and well established team, the business has been trading for over 40 years and currently turnover £13M.

Senior Quantity Surveyor Position Overview

  • Ensuring project costings are met
  • Ensuring compliance with the project requirements

  • Producing and managing costing reports
  • Considering the Environmental Assessment Methods requirements when choosing suppliers and agreeing products/materials costs
  • Review, prepare and issue Forecast Final Account (Cost Report)

Senior Quantity Surveyor Position Requirements

  • Over 5 years' working as a QS within the construction industry
  • Proven experience of delivering restoration projects
  • Experience of working on listed buildings at QS level
  • A-Level, HND, NVQ or Degree level qualified
  • Excellent mathematical skills
  • Good organisational and administrative skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience using Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook
