About you If you are an experienced Senior Estimator who knows fit out and refurbishment and enjoys taking ownership of a tender from the initial enquiry through to submission, this could be a really good opportunity for you. You will be joining an established team based from their Warrington office, working across industrial and commercial fit out and refurbishment projects valued up to around £5 million. You need to be comfortable getting into the detail of a tender. That means understanding what the client is asking for, attending tender meetings, reviewing drawings and specifications, speaking with the supply chain and ultimately putting together a competitive tender that you are confident in. The salary is £65,000 to £70,000 per annum, plus package. Your experience You will need previous estimating experience within fit out and refurbishment. Your background could be across industrial fit out, commercial fit out, office refurbishment or a mixture of different refurbishment projects. What is important is that you understand this type of work and can confidently price projects up to around £5 million. You should have experience taking a tender through the full process rather than simply pricing individual elements of a project. That will include reviewing enquiries, attending tender meetings, understanding drawings and specifications, completing take offs, obtaining subcontractor and supplier prices and putting the final tender together. You will need to be commercially aware and understand the importance of submitting a competitive price without exposing the business to unnecessary risk. What you will be doing with your experience You will take responsibility for tenders across industrial and commercial fit out and refurbishment projects, with individual schemes valued up to around £5 million. From the point an enquiry arrives, you will work through the tender and understand exactly what is required. You will attend tender meetings where required, review drawings and specifications, complete take offs, engage with subcontractors and suppliers and build up the costs for each project. You will then bring everything together into a complete tender submission, making sure the price is accurate, commercially sensible and reflects the requirements of the project. You will work closely with the wider team throughout the process, particularly when a tender progresses towards award and needs to be handed over into delivery. This is a role where you will have genuine ownership of your tenders rather than simply supporting somebody else with the pricing. About the business You will be joining an established construction business delivering industrial and commercial fit out and refurbishment projects. Projects vary in size up to around £5 million, giving you the opportunity to work across a good range of tenders rather than repeatedly pricing the same type of scheme. The role is based from the Warrington office and they are looking for an experienced Senior Estimator who understands the fit out and refurbishment market and can take responsibility for the tender process from the initial enquiry through to submission. The salary is £65,000 to £70,000 per annum, plus package. Next steps A CV isn't needed to start a conversation, so no matter what stage you're at in your job search, get in touch to discuss
