My client is an Interior Design & Build contractor based in Manchester that has seen steady growth over the last few years. Due to their current Senior Estimator retiring they re looking to find someone new to take over.
They specialise in high end Commercial, Retail & Leisure fitouts across Manchester and the northwest
Overview:
They are currently looking for an experienced Estimator 5+ years experience working for a Fitout/Refurb Contractor. Ideally you will have experience in cost planning, pricing, and preparing procurement packs for tender. You will also be able to challenge the design teams when necessary and liaise effectively with the Project Managers. In the medium to long term this role offers an opportunity for growth, with the potential to oversee Junior & Assistant Estimators in the future.
Responsibilities:
- Cost Planning and Pricing: Prepare accurate cost plans and pricing for Design & Build projects, ensuring competitiveness and profitability.
- Procurement Preparation: Take ownership of procurement packs, getting them ready for tender.
- Team Collaboration: Challenge the pre-construction and design teams to ensure the best outcomes for the project.
- Liaison with Quantity Surveyors: Understand and communicate effectively with QSs to ensure accurate and comprehensive project costing.
- Project Involvement: Be involved throughout the design process (up to 8 weeks) and manage the project from start to finish over a two-week period.
- Site Visits: Conduct site visits as required to gather information and ensure project requirements are met.
Must Have:
- Proven Experience as an Estimator in the Construction Industry
- Structured Career History
- Ability to travel when needed to sites across the Northwest
- Ability to reach & work from the Salford Office
