As they continue to expand, they’re looking to appoint an experienced and driven Sales Manager to lead their sales function and help achieve ambitious growth targets.
Role Summary: Reporting to the Directors, the Sales Manager will lead a small but dynamic sales team and take ownership of a £2 million annual new business target. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving business development initiatives, mentoring team members, and ensuring strong, consistent performance across the department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead the sales department, currently consisting of 1x Business Development Manager and 6x telesales executives.
- Personally contribute to business development, targeting new clients and achieving a personal and team sales target of £2 million annually.
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies, performance metrics, and reporting structures.
- Train, coach, and develop sales team members to maximise individual and team performance.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure smooth handovers and high service delivery standards.
- Represent the company professionally at client meetings, industry events, and networking opportunities.
Candidate Requirements:
- Must be able to travel to and work from our Bedford office on a regular basis.
- Proven sales management experience within the Cleaning, Facilities Management, or a closely related client service industry.
- Demonstrated success in generating new business and achieving/exceeding sales targets.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring capabilities.
- A structured and consistent career history with clear achievements.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
