Company Overview: They are a leading Cleaning and Support Services provider with a reputation for excellence, innovation, and long-term client relationships. As they continue to expand, they’re looking to appoint an experienced and driven Sales Manager to lead their sales function and help achieve ambitious growth targets.

Role Summary: Reporting to the Directors, the Sales Manager will lead a small but dynamic sales team and take ownership of a £2 million annual new business target. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving business development initiatives, mentoring team members, and ensuring strong, consistent performance across the department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead the sales department, currently consisting of 1x Business Development Manager and 6x telesales executives.
  • Personally contribute to business development, targeting new clients and achieving a personal and team sales target of £2 million annually.
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies, performance metrics, and reporting structures.
  • Train, coach, and develop sales team members to maximise individual and team performance.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure smooth handovers and high service delivery standards.
  • Represent the company professionally at client meetings, industry events, and networking opportunities.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Must be able to travel to and work from our Bedford office on a regular basis.
  • Proven sales management experience within the Cleaning, Facilities Management, or a closely related client service industry.
  • Demonstrated success in generating new business and achieving/exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring capabilities.
  • A structured and consistent career history with clear achievements.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.
