The Opportunity

Our client is a well-established commercial fit-out contractor delivering projects across the UK. Operating with a collaborative, team-led project model, they are now looking to appoint a Supply Chain Manager to strengthen supplier engagement and enhance overall project delivery performance. This role will play a key part in shaping how subcontractors and suppliers are selected, managed, and developed across the business. While hands-on procurement experience is beneficial, the position is equally suited to a commercially minded professional with strong relationship-building skills and a solid understanding of the construction or fit-out environment. Based from the Warrington office, the role will support projects nationwide and work closely with commercial, estimating, and operational teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and embed a structured approach to supplier and subcontractor relationship management
  • Maintain and continuously improve an effective, compliant, and project-ready supply chain
  • Identify gaps within the existing supply base and onboard new suppliers and subcontractors as required
  • Support sustainable procurement initiatives and promote responsible sourcing practices
  • Track market conditions, availability, and trends to ensure best value decisions are made
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders including Quantity Surveying, Estimating, and Delivery teams
  • Allocate suppliers and subcontractors strategically across key projects
  • Monitor supplier performance, setting clear expectations and measurable KPIs
  • Use data and performance insights to drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Lead commercial discussions and negotiations to achieve optimal outcomes without compromising quality or programme
