The Opportunity A fantastic opportunity is available for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our client’s Major Contracts team.
This role is ideal for a commercially astute professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys taking ownership across a broad spectrum of high-value commercial, leisure, and hospitality projects.
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in managing the cost, contract, and commercial aspects of projects from inception through to completion, ensuring profitability and client satisfaction throughout.
Act as a key member of the Quantity Surveying team, supporting collaboration across departments with a proactive and positive approach.
Manage subcontractor and supplier procurement, including cost analysis and contract issue.
Conduct regular site visits and attend project meetings.
Identify, capture, and agree variations in accordance with contract terms.
Monitor profitability, value engineering, and highlight risk and opportunity areas.
Close out waste gaps on projects and provide regular CVR reporting.
Lead on project costing from concept to final account, including estimating, procurement, contract management, and commercial reporting.
Review and approve invoices, ensuring financial accuracy and compliance.
Work collaboratively with internal departments across the project lifecycle.
Submit accurate and timely final accounts.
Manage full project tenders where applicable.
Keep project data up to date on the Concorde Project Portal and Egnyte system.
Candidate Requirements Degree (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying.
Ideally 10+ years of Quantity Surveying experience within the construction industry.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other relevant IT systems.
Strong commercial awareness and confident decision-making abilities.
Collaborative, approachable, and aligned with the company’s culture and values.
Full UK driving licence.
